Unix Timestamp Converter

Convert Unix timestamps to dates and back, in seconds or milliseconds

Unix time, both directions

A Unix timestamp counts the seconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC. Paste a timestamp to see it as a UTC and local date, or pick a date to get its timestamp. Ten-digit input is read as seconds, thirteen-digit as milliseconds. Everything is computed locally in your browser.

FAQ

Seconds or milliseconds?

Both. A 13-digit number is treated as milliseconds; otherwise it's treated as seconds. JavaScript and many APIs use milliseconds, while Unix tools and databases often use seconds.

What time zone is used?

The result shows both UTC (unambiguous) and your browser's local time. The date-to-timestamp direction interprets your input in your local time zone.

Is my input uploaded?

No. All conversion runs in JavaScript on your device.
